These Honey Sriracha Glazed Meatballs are sweet, spicy and full of so much flavor! They also take less than 30 minutes to make and are perfect for weekly meal prep!
You guys I have been utterly obsessed with Sriracha lately!
My hubby makes fun of me because I literally put this stuff on everything, but um can anyone relate?? Sriracha is spicy, but not TOO hot….it has some sweetness, but only slightly, and let me just say that it tastes absolutely incredible over top of these meatballs! I mean you really can’t go wrong with delicious flavors like Sriracha, soy sauce, ginger, honey, and garlic all drizzled over baked (yes baked!) turkey meatballs. The best part is this whole meal takes less than 30 minutes from start to finish which means you can have a quick, easy and healthy dinner in little to no time at all!
Are you hungry yet??
Meatballs are such a staple recipe to have on hand because not only do they make great party appetizers, but these turkey meatballs also make a super filling meal you know you can feel good about eating! These meatballs are baked (not fried) and have so much flavor all on their own. You could really use this basic meatball recipe to mix with any sauce you’d like so I definitely urge you to bookmark this or pin it for later!
Seriously though these Honey Sriracha Meatballs would make such a fun party appetizer and I can guarantee would be a huge hit among your friends! You can easily throw them into your crock pot too, but I would suggest cutting the baking time in half allowing the meatballs to cook the rest of the way in the crock pot for about 2 hours on low. I would also recommend doubling the sauce so the meatballs stay nice and coated.
Now let’s talk about these meal prep bowls!
Seriously you guys this recipe is super easy and I can’t begin to tell you how much I was looking forward to my lunch each day. This meatball recipe makes about 40 (1 1/2-inch) meatballs so it was perfect for my hubby and I to each have about 3 lunches leftover, once we devoured some for dinner of course.
I made a big batch of brown rice to serve with the meatballs, but you could easily use quinoa or even cauliflower rice if you prefer, and added about a 1/2 cup of cooked rice to each bowl. I also added some shredded carrots for a good crunch! Then just top everything with some green onions and sprinkle on a few sesame seeds and you’ve got a deliciously FILLING and healthy meal all ready to go!
I’ve also been asked several times about where I purchased these Pyrex dishes (which I LOVE) for my meal prep bowls and you can find them HERE on Amazon!
Now on to this ooey gooey mouthwatering sauce. You guys it is a MUST! Seriously. Not only is this sauce ridiculously easy to make, but as I said before, how can you go wrong with flavors like Sriracha, soy sauce, ginger, honey, and garlic?! The answer is you can’t. Most store-bought sauces come saturated in preservatives and other ingredients that you can’t really pronounce which is why I am all about making my own.
This sauce would also taste great with chicken too so expect another recipe real soon! Mmm I’m thinking lettuce wraps…
Hope you guys enjoy these Honey Sriracha Glazed Meatballs as much as we did and remember to tag me on Instagram using the hashtag #eatyourselfskinnyrecipe if you end up making these! I promise you’ll thank me later *wink*
- 2 lb. lean ground turkey
- 1 cup whole wheat panko breadcrumbs
- 2 eggs
- ¼ cup green onions, chopped
- ½ tsp. garlic powder
- ½ tsp. salt
- ½ tsp. black pepper
- ¼ cup Sriracha
- 3 Tbsp reduced-sodium soy sauce
- 3 Tbsp rice vinegar
- 3 Tbsp honey
- 1 Tbsp grated fresh ginger
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- ½ tsp. toasted sesame oil
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
- In a large bowl, mix together turkey, breadcrumbs, eggs, green onions, garlic powder and salt/pepper until well combined. Shape mixture into 1½-inch balls (you’ll make roughly 40 balls) and place spaced apart on prepared baking sheets lightly sprayed with cooking spray.
- Bake meatballs for 20 to 25 minutes, or until browned and cooked through.
- While the meatballs are baking, combine all the ingredients for the sauce in a small saucepan and bring to a boil over medium heat, whisking continuously. Reduce heat and simmer for 8 to 10 minutes (the sauce will start to thicken) then toss with the meatballs.
- Serve immediately over brown rice and top with green onions and a few sesame seeds. Enjoy!
