Fabulous. I thought you were all the berry smoothie bowl loving types. The kind of people who love easy on the go kinds of breakfast foods. Everything thrown in the blender and in about 10 seconds breakfast is made. This is precisely the way we do breakfast at our house, too.
So, would it surprise you to know that smoothie bowls have fallen out of favour in a 2017 kinda world! đłÂ If you follow me on Instagram youâll have seen a pin up style post of our most beloved vegetable, cauliflower. This post proclaimed that according to Bon Appetite magazine this is officially the year of the cauliflower and it listed all of the other âITâ foods of this year. The article then led me on a click through to another article that was written for all of the âfood trends we hope are over.â HmmmâŚ. Smoothie bowls being near the top of that list!
BLASPHEMY!!!!! I shouted. What kind of person dismisses the simple, healthy beauty of a smoothie bowl? And a full on berry smoothie bowl at that! What kinds of charlatans are these people. They are so clearly NOT our kind of people.
Sorry Bon Appetite. I was such a fan until you just went and lost your darn mind. But I digress.
Letâs talk about what really matters. These smoothie bowls. Should I tell you how they are super delicious. They are spinach free (because sometimes I just canât with the spinach) donât hate me, k. They are just full of bananas, blueberries, yogurt and that perfect winter fruit, the pomegranate. Thatâs it. All you need to know. The rest is to literally toss this all in a blender and whiz it up. Done.
So, sorry Bon Appetite. Iâm gonna throw it out there⌠you have no idea what you are talking about. Smoothie bowls still rule!
